Download Panorama

There are various ways to get the Panorama compiler:

Windows

You can easily download a release here for your operating system and architecture

Linux

You can easily download a release here for your operating system and architecture

OSX

You can easily download a release here for your operating system and architecture

Compile from source

To download the source code, you can clone the GitHub repository

git clone https://github.com/Arnau478/panorama.git

You can easily compile it using make:

make

Then, just run the binary file:

./panorama

Note that compiling from source has advantages and disadvantages: you will be able to target any architecture you want, but source could be in a non-runnable state

Once installed, you should try to run:

panorama -h

That command should return a quick CLI guide. If that didn't succeed, you probably did something wrong on last step

Your first code

Now that we have Panorama installed, we can start coding

Go ahead and create a file and name it helloworld.pan. Now, open it with your favorite IDE or text editor, and let's type a very simple Hello World program

print "Hello World"

Note: Unlike most programming languages, print is a statement, not a function. That means you don't need parenthsis!

Running your code

To run your code, you can simply run the following:

panorama /path/to/helloworld.pan
